High
Throughput screening (HTS) is the latest approach in analytical
technology. Used particularly in the pharmaceutical industry
and in life science laboratories, this method enables systematic
screening of drug design and high throughput analysis of
batch production.
In HTS, the sample reaction process is often undertaken in multiwell plates, and so any analytical technique must be able to cope with such forms of sample presentation. It is now possible to analyze a Well plate with the new Raman Multiwell Analyzer from HORIBA Jobin Yvon. In this system, the benefits of the modern and compact analytical Raman spectrometer are combined with the HTS procedure in a fully automated Raman screening system. The multiwell analyzer uniquely combines the highly detailed spectroscopic analysis often not provided with more common assay techniques with the HT screening methodology.
