Axial
Raman Spectrograph
The
Axial Raman spectrograph offers a new dimension in Remote
Raman monitoring:
- The unique design of the Axial spectrograph offers extremely high sensitivity and throughput - It has very high wavelength stability to temperature conditions - Ideal for industrial process and remote monitoring applications and for system to system validation.
The specially designed imaging optics from the HORIBA Jobin Yvon Raman division, has potential in many new fields of application:
- The Axial spectrograph has a unique imaging capability, which lends itself to remote or in-situ 'hybrid-imaging' applications.
It has the capability to separate many different channels of information upon the CCD detector (typically 50-64 tracks). This out performs the conventional type of spectrometer design which typically can accommodate only 4-8 tracks of information.

This new dimension in Raman analysis has particular relevance to biological and pharmaceutical applications.
In-Vivo Raman Imaging for medical imaging applications (e.g. surgery, dermatology etc.) and other demanding applications including High Throughput Screening (HTS) becomes more practical.
