Cyan Laser Source Emits Picosecond Pulses
Cyan Laser SourceJobin Yvon IBH Ltd have added a further wavelength to their award-winning range of picosecond pulsed laser diode sources. The NanoLED-14 emits pulses of duration <100ps at a nominal wavelength of 475nm. This promises to be a popular alternative to many applications presently using the blue Argon-ion line due to its miniaturized packaging and simple turn-key operation. NanoLEDs are ideal excitation sources for use in TCSPC-based fluorescence lifetime measurements and this new cyan diode is particularly well matched to important fluorophores such as fluorescein and NBD.

The NanoLED-14 features adjustable collimation optics with pinhole apertures for beam circularization, and a gold-plated enclosure to ensure minimal emission of radio frequency noise. The new source is fully plug-and-play compatible with existing NanoLED controllers and all types of TCSPC based lifetime system. The bench top driver module features controls for repetition rate and synchronization delay, as well as comprehensive synchronization options. A unique microprocessor controlled driver card is also available for OEM applications.
